It was called knocky door ginger when I was growing up, and ive since learned that my neck of the woods boasts the highest percentage of variation in shades of ginger hair in the UK.
Knock down ginger is what I remember it as, but I feel like there was another name they called it at school, I just can't remember what it was.
Had to search "ginger" to see which variations would be mentioned here.
