I thought we needed those bombs? Didn't Biden cause the problem by giving away all our precious bombs to Ukraine, not TACO with his Iran war? So I guess the shortage must be over if we have enough to give to Israel. Such a relief to know we are safe again.
Different bombs. These are dumb bombs, US can't get close enough to Iran to use these. They tried already and lost aircraft. So they have to use guided bombs and missiles.
Israels genocide is uncontested, so they have no issues dropping dumb bombs.
It was my understanding most of it was WWII surplus.
WWII surplus would have been used in Korea or the Vietnam war I would assume
The WWII surplus basically doesn't exist outside museums. The vast majority would have been used (especially in training) or updated. Even just chemical instability and environmental degradation would have made anything too dangerous to really leave in an arsenal.
Maybe it was old surplus, but not WWII. I heard that on a YouTube channel called Luke Beasley.
