I'm genx, same both wife and I worked extra jobs during COVID, never worked from home. My boomer parents lived 100x better than me even during their "poor"years. Now retired, they still make quadruple what I do. I make less than I did 25 years ago, and that's not even making adjustments for inflation. I also have no savings, can't save when you can't afford to live. This economy is fucked. We also lived through all of those market upheavals and also the one in the '90s. It's been straight downhill since the boomers gen.
