Peer to peer running on Port 443, the standard port for https, as we do now using stealth vpns and such.

I'm no expert, but some examples I know of are:

Tribler: a bittorrent-based app with built-in search and some extra security compared to regular bittorrent.

Nicotine+ and similar apps: clients for the Soulseek network, where you download an entire file from a single peer. Also searchable.

There's no need to use a website for either of these.

Very interesting, first I've heard of them. I'd live to hear more, to help diversify my aquisition of Linux isos of course
