And it's not like it's so much harder to press a few extra buttons. Bonus: you're safer online, so if anyone wants to go down the road, they'll just be safer online.

Wish people would realize they are NOT idiots.

This erodes privacy and allows character assassinations on anyone who wants to be safe and/or private by using those VPN that do not comply. Is your mega ISP really going to stand up for your rights under this? Can you really get a new ISP at the "press of a few buttons"?

You aren't the only one here not understanding how "this doesn't directly affect me" bc you have the technical skills to avoid it. It does affect you, even if only by the chilling effect of it being more difficult to discuss online.
