I'm gonna go ahead and continue to disagree with you. I'm amused that his name is so damn fitting to his bullshit existence. If his name were ::I am looking up the most popular baby name in [it doesn't matter which country I pick because you'll still be upset] for 2025:: Mahnoor, I'm aware it's a girls' name, and he shit himself in a manner similar to the president, then I would laugh at that. However, if his name were Ibrahim and he were, say, fucking animals, then I don't think that there would be any amusement there.
It's like if my name was Asshole and we were having this conversation in person, you would be like, "Yeah, fuck, this guy's name is ridiculously accurate," but if my name were Brian, you'd be like, "Man, Brian is an asshole."
I guess I don't understand how the joke is the same. Is "Ching Ching Chong ping pong" the Mandarin translation of "crypto scammer," or "nominative determinism," or "the universe is too on-the-nose"?
While there are English versions of the joke, like a prolific fucker being named Dick Hammer, it just dovetails with the racist jokes that are simply mocking a name because it's foreign.
Does it, though? These jokes may superficially resemble each other solely because they involve non-white people, but one joke comes down to "all Chinese people be like," while the other is about Kash Patel in particular. One is stereotyping an entire ethno-linguistic group, and the other is about the actions of one specific man. At a fundamental level, that's very different, I think.
Racism isn't based on anything rational.
Racists can laugh alongside members when a comedian makes joke referencing a shared culture. And the only way to differentiate between the appreciative and the mocking is the tone of the laughter. You may not have been making an insult, but that's why it said it dovetails.
It seems you're focused on the specifics of "insulting mockery of Chinese speech" being a broad insult when comparing it to your joke. I don't think the other person was claiming they were exactly the same joke, but were in the same category. Although I could be wrong. "Literally" has unfortunately come to mean both what it means and "not literally, but used for heightening."
That's some crypto scammer ass nominative determinism there
