they allowed a fantasy world without gay marriage to exist for the sake of a D&D campaign, therefore they must be a bigot.

That's just society nowadays. If u aren't 100% pro-sth it must mean u are 100% against sth. Centrist views don't exist anymore/aren't allowed.
call it past experience and red flags. If you don't see it, I'm glad you've lived such a sheltered judgmental-free life.
Call it wanting too see things that aren't there, except in a clearly biased worldview.
