Trump will threaten to. And European leaders will cave to demands of the Trump admin again and again. Whether it's something that benefits one of his businesses or investments. Or all the way up to joining the Iran War.
At some point. We're going to run out of "this temporary measure will bring oil futures down". And, at that point, Europe will be forced into, at first, symbolic support of the Iran war, material support of the Iran War, and finally stuck in the same unwinnable War the US is.
The reality of the situation is that there's just not enough energy to go around. So, it's a different situation from the US doing mere economic bullying of Europe. This time there's not enough pie to go around, and Europe will be left to starve.
