Please tell me what you are doing for the generation behind you.
Paying taxes that fund public education despite not having kids? Supporting politicians who want to make our public education system more robust and performant? Supporting politicians and policies to attempt to combat climate change? Giving money to causes related to the above even though I don't (and will never) have kids?
Yeah, that should fix things.

It doesn't sound like you're getting it so I'll spell it out. If you're not actively thinking about or doing something for the next generation, why would you expect a boomer to have done so?
So... Contributing the bare minimum to society?
Who the hell are you to judge what they can or should be doing? They might not have the means, time, or health to do more. Get out of here with that high horse.
My bad for believing that you should pay forward what society has already done for you. I don't care that you didn't intend on having children. People have given far more that you benefited from as a child and the bare minimum is that you do the same.
No matter what you believe, you have benefited from policy and programs funded by taxpayers who may or may not have had any intention of benefiting you specifically.
And they just gave you ways they have given back. Get off your high horse and maybe you would see that. You don't know that person's spot in life. They might be doing the best they can. You're speaking from a point of privilege to demand more.
The ways they give back are all standard expected behavior in a functioning society. Pay your taxes and vote.

Not having kids, my bloodline ideally ends with me. At my age my mother already had me and was pregnant with a second child she couldn't care for, I'm 26 and soon to be 27. I'm hoping I die an irrelevant, ignoble, and funny death.

Moreso a murderous joke I'm making, I fucking HATE my father and that hatred spreads easily to his kin. Murdering them for the sake of it maybe not but if put into a situation where they are between me and him well that's their fault at that point.

I'm just making my way through the universe, like everyone else, including boomers. My point was that people seem to think that boomers, or any generation for that matter, have a big meeting and decide to fuck up the following generations en masse. I think oligarchs are causing the problems, not 70 year olds, who had the nerve to buy a house because they could. If you were a boomer I bet you wouldn't have done anything different, because you would not have seen the harm in it. As always the harm comes from the top, not a whole generation.
