Just two days before launching an effort to slash red tape for commercial space transportation, Donald Trump last month purchased up to $5 million of bonds issued by SpaceX, a major federal contractor run by Elon Musk, according to ethics filings made public on Thursday.

The SpaceX bond buy was among 517 trades Trump made in August, transactions that spotlight conflict of interest concerns that have hovered over his presidency.

Beyond SpaceX debt, Trump purchased up to $25 million of Meta shares, up to $6 million of Microsoft stock and a smaller amount of Oracle shares, filings show.

The thing is though, he's not any more corrupt than your average politician, he just doesn't care enough to try to hide it. He knows no one will do anything, because then they'll be the next head on the chopping block, so why waste the effort?

Is this the new media approach by GOP? "Both are shit, may as well vote GOP".

Because you're incorrect. Yes, both are shit but other president didn't use their power and inside knowledge to make themselves insanely wealthier. They made money, sure, but not to this extent. Stop normalising it or you'll find it gets worse not better.

At no point did I say anything about "may as well vote GOP". Just because both parties are insanely corrupt, doesn't mean the GOP isn't pure evil, while the democratic party is "just" greedy corrupt pieces of shit. The democratic party is still 10x better, but that doesn't change the fact that they are bought just as much as the GOP.

Equivalating both parties without the bit you just wrote is an example of a "both sides" argument.
