Why are HOAs so obsessed with "consistency"?
It's a euphemism for "control".

I've got the feeling that the people who run insane HOAs have undiagnosed autism. Consistency, extreme rule following, and an exaggerated sense of justice are hallmarks of our kind. It's just boomers who never will know that about themselves cause they aren't "train city in the basement" flavored
It's a safe way to live.
