I don’t care how old you are as long as the costume is good. Bigger onus on good when you’re older.

This is correct. If you show up at my door in costume, you're getting candy. Maybe a glass of bourbon if you're into it.

Yeah, the younger / less capable the person, the less of a costume they need. At 34, it should be at least as good as something from Spirit Halloween.
