As an overseas resident, this is quite frightening. Look at the bigger picture. They've recently mentioned invalidating the passports of overseas residents, in regards to Charlie Kirk Facebook posts.

It's maybe not about trans people; it's maybe about invalidating passports by forcing a binary choice and then flagging computer errors.

Imagine if they had some other other binary (or narrowly defined range ) choices on there, like political party or race or religion. At some future point they call all members of some subset "terrorists" and prevent them from leaving.

Rubio said it, kind of in passing. Specifically talking about people like me, that he wanted it so that our passports wouldn't be renewed

I only half believe it but now they're fucking with passports.
