Tankies are so far from left they're basically MAGA.
"Tankie" is just a pejorative for those that uphold socialist countries as legitimate, and oppose the US empire. Communists are not anywhere close to MAGA, and pretending they are is sophistry.
That's not what tankie means, but nice try.
It absolutely is, it’s the McCarthyian vision of a spooky scary communist that wants to gobble up all of the babies. It's used against Marxists and anti-imperialists to terminate discussion.
