What's really stupid about many of these assholes being mixed race or nonwhite is that they think they will thrive if they side with the white supremacists, and for a time, they will. But they either don't realize, or completely ignore, that hate and bigotry are never satisfied. Eventually, there won't be enough "undesirables" to despise, and that pool will have to expand to eventually include them, resulting in the loss of their wealth and protected status, if not their outright demise. It's never "if", only "when".

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Eventually the racism gets so bad that whites will actually turn on other whites and accuse them of not being white. They did it with the Irish and the Jewish.

And the Italians. And the Greeks. And the Eastern Europeans.

The issue is using white as the catch all term when in the eyes of a “super racist” it is not. Only the Germanic group counts, so Germans, English / some Scottish, and Scandinavian. Everyone else is something different, jews are either slavic or semitic and the Irish are Celtic.

I can’t speak for all of them, but Fuentes is supposedly White Hispanic and is more Christian Nationalist and normal racist, while Tate is a grifter who latches onto whatever combo of buzzwords gives him views. Ye is just rich and is positioning himself with the Christian Nationalists rather than Super Racists.

And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call a swarthy Complexion; as are the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth.

I love the scene in Babylon 5 when Captain Sinclair fights an aincent alien bio robot thing having awoken and started rampaging on the apace station.

The bio robot was created to enforce biological purity in an old alien race and would kill anyone not pure enough.

During the fight scene Captain Sinclair makes a passioned speech about how just how extremism is by definition never satisfied.

I'm doing a Babylon 5 rewatch right now, and it's amazing how relevant it is to this day.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

And Ducky brought it on board!

Honestly, I don't think it would be very long at all. This is some real "Jews for Hitler" energy.

Fuck around

The VnJ's founding statutes declared that its purpose was to represent "Germans of Jewish descent, who, while openly acknowledging their descent, feel so completely rooted in German culture and Wesen that they could not but think and feel as Germans.

The goal of the association was the total assimilation of Jews into the German Volksgemeinschaft, self-eradication of Jewish identity, and the expulsion from Germany of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe.

The VnJ rejected Zionism, Marxism, and liberal cosmopolitanism, emphasizing absolute loyalty to the German nation-state.

Find out.

Despite the extreme nationalism of Naumann and his colleagues, the Nazi regime did not accept the Association of German National Jews as a legitimate intermediary.

the VnJ was declared illegal and dissolved on 18 November 1935. Naumann was arrested by the Gestapo the same day, and imprisoned at the Columbia concentration camp. He was released after a few weeks, and died of cancer in May 1939. Most other members and their families were murdered in the Holocaust.

It's almost the idiots that champion this kind of nonsense are willfully choosing to learn absolutely nothing from their elders and/or history.

If that Fourth Turning stuff is accurate, we are right at the 80 year mark since WWII ended.

I find awfully curious to note all the intergenerational warfare being whipped up at the same time, by the way. A constant barrage of hate for anyone that didn't retire from their job at 65 or whatever the fuck, as if that's the problem here.

That is the problem with fascism in general. Going back to the Roman emperors, there is always someone waiting to slit your throat and take your place. Not very “fasce-like” in application. It’s one of the practical reasons that system was abandoned.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Well I hope they get to it before ww3

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Don't kid yourself the pool already includes them.
