Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

The written caption does not leave any room for doubt

[–] CaptainBlinky@lemmy.myserv.one 12 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

What does it say? I have no way to zoom into it.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 23 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

JEFFREY SHOWING EARLY TALENTS WITH MONEY + WOMEN! SELLS "FULLY DEPRECIATED" [victim's name is redacted] TO DONALD TRUMP FOR $22,500. SHOWED EARLY "PEOPLE SKILLS" TOO. EVEN THOUGH I HANDLED THE DEAL I DIDN'T GET ANY OF THE MONEY OR THE GIRL!

[–] LiveLM@lemmy.zip 20 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Referring to another human as "FULLY DEPRECIATED" is fucking disgusting

[–] answersplease77@lemmy.world 17 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

it might be a pedo code for non-virgin

[–] CaptainBlinky@lemmy.myserv.one 5 points 7 hours ago

le sigh. Thanks.

[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 109 points 13 hours ago (4 children)

Does "fully depreciated" mean " has become an adult"?

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 14 points 7 hours ago (1 children)
[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 hours ago

I don't think that's it. Things depreciate over time.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 46 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

I think the meaning is far worse and more twisted than that – such that I don’t want to say what I think they mean other than ‘broken in’.

[–] duhlieluh@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

dont be light with it. these are disgusting, evil and cruel acts. she was most likely a child and was raped and abused. it is an awful thing to even hear but people need to be hearing the truth, not desensitising metaphors.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

I wasn’t being light with it. I’ve been there. They use far worse language than that. And I was trying to get across what they meant without making people vomit. It’s worse than people think. Many people shut down when we don’t speak on their level.

[–] duhlieluh@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

it should make everyone vomit

[–] mateofeo85@lemmy.world 89 points 13 hours ago

I figured not a virgin, but could be that too.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 62 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Dear god, dude. Truly monstrous

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 13 points 9 hours ago

Our president ladies and gents!

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 46 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

"people skills"

Those are by far the most suspicious quotes I've ever seen

[–] dellish@lemmy.world 11 points 9 hours ago

Early "people skills" or "early people" skills? Hmmmm

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 18 points 11 hours ago

Right up there with ‘wonderful secrets’.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 64 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (1 children)

I'm kind of relieved I can still be disgusted by him. I was afraid I'd gotten desensitized. Holy shit, that's gross.

I don't know how anyone can deny that we're beyond reasonable doubt that Trump participated in the trafficking. I'm sure some will find a way, though, once they drop the "reasonable" part.

[–] TheCriticalMember@aussie.zone 7 points 8 hours ago

I keep an eye on r/trump just to see what they're up to and believe me, they're having no trouble denying it.

[–] MrVilliam@sh.itjust.works 11 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Who wrote that caption? Doesn't seem like Trump or Epstein. Maxwell?

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 9 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Looks like Joel Pashcow (looks like the guy in the photo with Epstein):
