Engagement bait isn't effective communicating, it's a large component of what's wrong with the world right now. Instead of sharing actual knowledge or being more careful with our words, there's an incentive to get it wrong on purpose because that's what the algorithm rewards. Let's all be better.

I'm sure it was just autocorrect anyway. It's just a ridiculous thing to get worked up about, thinking communication is getting worse, kids these days, etc

It is certainly deteriorating, and effective communication is never a ridiculous thing to make a point of.
