Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

The LAST thing I'd want is my Tax Dollars going to ~~Billionaires!~~ Starving American Children on SNAP!

I mean, we had to do something about the moral peril of allowing the poors to buy CAVIAR on SNAP. These people might think they are just as human as the elites if they were to start eating caviar, and we cannot have that.

Caviar sucks, change my mind

I'm vegetarian and have never tried it and never will, so I will take your word for it. :)

Well, thank goodness. As the intrepid reporters of the right have discovered, you could use SNAP benefits to buy caviar!

That needs to be reserved for the Worthy People! People that get SNAP benefits, by the very fact that they are getting those benefits, are to be treated like Unworthy People, and need to be reminded of that every hour of every day of their lives. Our betters may get around to eventually ensuring that the Unworthy only get stale bread crusts for food. If they have water clean of any contaminants, they should count their lucky stars, but that's the only drink they'll be permitted, as well. Definitely no soda!

This is the only way the moral scolds that only apply their Puritanism downwards on the economic ladder will be satisfied, ultimately, and we should always be sure to cater to those people.

And taxes increased on the poor incoming since that’s how dictators pay for their kingdoms. They extract ever more from the lower classes to pay for all the privileges those in the ruling class get.

Let's keep being active, and get others active, don't ever accept their shit. It takes us all doing to make it easier to defeat this

What exactly do you think tarrifs are doing?

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

Well, certainly the thing they said among other things. Though your question is weird.
