A hostile act against criminals? Shocking!

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

That worthless fuck needs to have more 'hostile acts' made against him. The more hostile the better.

What a world we live in

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 day ago

Things innocent people don't say, for 500.

The branches of government are supposed to keep each other in line.

System not working as intended: burn it all down.

The existence of parties immediately broke our checks and balances

[–] Doc_Crankenstein@slrpnk.net 2 points 16 hours ago

The formation of parties is unfortunately inevitable under electoralist political structures. The system was fundamentally flawed.

Why is it a problem to release them if you aren't in it, Donnie?

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Sounds like something a guilty person would say

Wha- ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I almost fell for it ya’ sneaky kanoodle!

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 49 points 1 day ago

The only ones who are getting hostile are the ones trying to stop the release of the files.

Weird.

Eventually Trump’s arc will stop rising and start falling, and then the republicans around him will start fighting over succession. Some will decide that they can gain more by actively pushing him out of the way, and offering themselves as some kind of solution to what was wrong with Trump: others will offer themselves as a continuation the all-good, all-knowing Trump.

That’s why.

I think the Epstein files becoming a meme was turd peaking.

Is that a source to this? It comes across as so much as an admission of guilt. I’d love to see the actual quote.

“Helping Thomas Massie and Liberal Democrats with their attention-seeking, while the DOJ is fully supporting a more comprehensive file release effort from the oversight committee, would be viewed as a very hostile act to the administration,” the official said.

That prompted an outcry from Greene, a prominent Trump ally, who called the official “a coward.”

“The ‘hostile act’ was Jeffrey Epstein raping 14-year-old girls,” she said Wednesday in an interview with Real America’s Voice, a conservative outlet. “That was the ‘hostile act’ and it’s not a hoax.”

Marjorie Taylor Green on the reasonable side for once? What universe is this?

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 14 points 1 day ago (4 children)

and not even because of some antisemitic angle either. is she… waking up? is she… realizing she bought the ticket and has been riding the ride?

what is going on with her!?

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No I'm pretty sure she's actually passionate about the Epstein case. It's been one of her "things" since the start, I'd be more shocked if she suddenly dropped it

She's a fuckin lunatic but being crazy doesn't necessarily mean all your opinions are bad

[–] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

Shit, even RFKjr has a few good ones.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

As much as I hate her, I think she may legitimately care deeply about this topic and justice for the victims.

She may be a batshit conspiracy theorist, but when it seems there really is a cabal of powerful pedophiles at the highest level of government, we can throw her a bone.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

is she… waking up?

You might even describe her as being "woke."

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

A crazy clock is right twice a day.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Though we were once on the darkest timeline for a moment, I think we're skipping around a lot now.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Definitely getting multiverse vibes.

[–] octopus_ink@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 day ago

Wow look at this too.

In a world where I believed Trump would ever experience any accountability, he'd really be cooked!
