Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

For the bestest president ever in the history of the US he sure seems to know fuck all about things happening under his administration.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

And things not under his administration

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (2 children)

And it'll work. Rubio will take the fall for this (if anyone does)

Edit: Oh this isn't about Venezuela... Hard to keep the war crimes straight

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 hour ago

No, word is that this op was so sensitive that it required the PRESIDENT to sign off on it. This is ALL on him.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

This was in 2019, it would have been Mike Pompeo's watch

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Oh my bad, I was thinking about the shit in Venezuela

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

No problem, it's hard to keep all the crimes against humanity straight with this bunch

Trump pleads ignorance

does not sound like much of a headline to me.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

It means he knew

Sgt. Schultz is a good man you take that back right goddamn now.

[–] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 41 points 14 hours ago

Either Trump approved a disastrous mission or the Secretary of Defense doesn’t bother to inform him when taking action against a highly belligerent nuclear power.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 77 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair, he's a narcissist and a pedophile.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 9 points 5 hours ago

He's also unusually stupid and lazy.

[–] JeSuisUnHombre@lemmy.zip 36 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

One of the many examples of only 2 possible explanations. He's either lying, or he's incompetent

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 23 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I mean, it would be a bigger scandal if someone sent out Seal Team 6 without telling the President you'd think. If he wasn't lying he should be outraged.

Which autopen signed off on this authorization? Y'know, since every accusation is a confession.

Release the Trump/Epstein files

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 22 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

He knows nothing about that, but was able to use his special vision - probably the same special vision that Bobby Brainworm has to be able to spot ~~people with engrams who need to get clear~~, er, people with mitochondrial challenges - to tell that 11 people on a boat are drug traffickers?

[–] ech@lemmy.ca 17 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

2019 Navy SEAL raid [into North Korea].

Not the same boat attack. Not that his answer would probably be any different.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 16 points 13 hours ago

Yes, I realize. He spent quite a bit bragging up the recent boat attack, because he views it as a "success".

Because the 2019 raid is viewed as a failure, he never heard of it. His "I don't know her" thing.

[–] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 25 points 15 hours ago

That’s never stopped him before.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago

What does this mf know? With all that "Biden isn't the president" shit, he sure doesn't know fuck all of what's happening around him.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 12 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

There were unarmed North Korean fishermen in the Oval office on Friday? .... and they killed them?

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 hours ago

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the extremely lazy writing.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 4 hours ago

No, in 2019! Not that that makes it any better. Still, what were they doing there?

[–] Sludgehammer@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair... his brain is so rotted that I'd be surprised if he remembered last Tuesday.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 4 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Does he even remember what he had for breakfast?

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

"I don't eat breakfast. I don't need it. Don't believe in it. I take 37 pills every morning at 8, with the still-beating heart of an endangered animal at 8 am because you have to eat something with some of these dru... Medications."

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago

If the mission were a success (he doesn’t know what that means) he wouldn’t STFU about it and he would’ve spilled the beans to Kim

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 7 points 15 hours ago

🤥🤥🤥🤥

[–] AreaKode@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

It was probably Biden. Trump has never been great at the maths.
