Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Dozey Donald seems to fall asleep more frequently than Sleepy Joe ever did.

[–] SantasMagicalComfort@piefed.world 135 points 2 days ago (6 children)

One day he's not going to wake up.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 39 points 2 days ago (5 children)

He looked truly terrible a few weeks ago. He seems to be recovering. How are the worst people so long lasting?

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 48 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Money. Access to extremely advanced and intimate healthcare at a moment's notice.

[–] Avicenna@programming.dev 1 points 1 day ago

Money also doesn't help if you surround your self with idiots, look at how Steve Jobs went even after stealing a liver from someone after having wrecked his by rejecting treatment for his curable cancer.

Someone said that he's on a 28 day cycle. Apparently there's a Alzheimer's shot that's a every 4 weeks shot.

So he'll be good for 10-18 days and then start sundowning till they hit him with the next bump.

But then again who knows it's the internet after all.

[–] Fondots@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

There was a thread I saw not too long ago where someone brought up a little conspiracy theory I think I may subscribe to

There's a new Alzheimer's treatment, Lecanemab/Leqembi, that was given accelerated approval in the US by the FDA this year in January, so just as trump took office.

It's given by IV every 4 weeks. Trump has been seen with what looks like makeup thats covering up bruising from an IV

It also seems like he has highs and lows where he declines for a couple weeks then perks back up a bit before declining again, and you can maybe kind of match those up to a similar 4-ish week cycle.

And it also calls for regular cognitive tests and MRIs to monitor if it's effective, and, well, trump has been doing that.

I just thought with tarriff.boycotts, he had run out of his "European Sudafed"

The worst people seem fuelled by hate alone and survive longer than they have any right to. See: Dick Cheney.

Some song once told me only the good die young. So he's here for awhile.

[–] lando55@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago (6 children)

You misunderstood, the song was telling you that your tie is too wide

Yes let's just hope one of us will still be around to appreciate it.

[–] stretch2m@infosec.pub 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Torn. I want this, but I also want him to live long enough to fail. Badly. To face some justice for all the evil.

[–] winkerjadams@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 days ago

Justice was taken out back and put down a long time ago

I hope he has a stroke while he's rage Tweeting on the toilet and goes full on Hector Salamanca: knowing everything that's happening but trapped in a (more) useless, vegetating body.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Hope I have that day off from work 🍾

[–] kahnclusions@lemmy.ca 64 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He did say he’s anti-woke

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Gotta respect him for practicing what he preaches. Lol

[–] Olgratin_Magmatoe@slrpnk.net 11 points 2 days ago

I really fucking wish news orgs would stop fucking with the wording of articles like this.

Don't get my hopes up.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 34 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Would be nice if he slumps over on live tv and stays that way forever

Honestly it'd be funny if that happened and they didn't realize he was dead for like 10 minutes. Mind you they probably have him hooked up to a heart rate monitor.

ASAP, please!

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago

Fuck dude, will you just drop dead already.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

On the one hand, he is a very old man.

But on the other hand, this shit is incredibly boring.

I'm genuinely aghast when I see these long-table high profile Trump photo-op board meetings. Like, I would fucking hate to be at that table, if for no other reason than waiting in a long line to kiss the President's ass when you're worth multiple billions of dollars would feel so humiliating.

But I guess that's the real path to power. All that "hustle and grind" is just getting up at 4am in the morning to whisper "Yes" into the ear of the guy higher than you on the totem pole.

Tell me when he doesn't jolt awake. Anything less is a tease.

[–] PhAzE@lemmy.ca 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] inb4_FoundTheVegan@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

And just like the white, privileged, arrogant man that he... falls asleep, only to jolt awake and instantly tries to (wrongly) correct the woman speaking.

Merica'!

[–] seathru@quokk.au 21 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They fitted him with a insulin pump full of Ritalin didn't they? "Shit, he's falling asleep again. Give him a bump!"

[–] Guitarfun@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

His heart probably can't handle stimulants anymore. He's switched to benzos to get his high now.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

Bummer that he woke up.

[–] bonaqo@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

text Potus to send a jolt of electricity keep him awake, i would pay for that

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Sleep deprivation has been linked to certain death.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fake News! He's the most high energy dictator ever! Health like no one has ever seen! His MRI was the most bigly, perfect MRI! In fact, many men, many big tough men, SWAT cops and truckers, say to him, they say while literally crying, "Sir, Sir! Please Sir, fall asleep in Cabinet meetings again, to show your manly, macho health!"

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

He taught Pete Hegseth how to do a pull-up.

I'm impressed he was anywhere on point with the actual conversation.

His eyes were open seconds earlier.

Surely we don't need to make up embarrassing moments when there are so many other factually accurate ones to choose from.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Sleepy ~~Joe Biden~~ Donald tRump.
