Yeah the US should have sent a boat then. Frankly it's poor planning on their part just assuming they can get away with not existing for 300 years.
If there's a war I'd volunteer myself for would be a non-US Nato VS the US. I wanna leave the world a better place that I found it and I find that ever more unlikely
