A federal judge on Friday barred federal agents in Minneapolis from arresting peaceful protesters, or using nonlethal munitions and crowd control tools against them.

I am sure they will totally abide by the judge's ruling. Totally. Yep. No doubt at all

"Since we are no longer allowed to use nonlethal munitions, we will now use lethal ones. I've always wanted to use white phosphorus on a protestor."

I'm not sure how this hasn't made it to your inbox, but when judges make decisions like this, ICE has been complying with them.

Maybe this means that the cops will arrest ICE

The judge’s order prevents federal agents from arresting peaceful protesters.

I want whatever the judge is smoking if they think this will stop them.

This is a serious case of "STOP! Or I'll say STOP again!"

Fuck all will be done.

I really wish Robin Williams and perhaps George Carlin were still around to roast these turkeys.

Throw Bill Hicks in the mix for a real party!

I'm gonna count to 3.....

[–] veroxii@aussie.zone 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Pretty sure just shooting someone 3 times in the face is already illegal.

Not if you say “she was coming right at me!”

[–] Triasha@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago

Did the judge empower local law enforcement to arrest and detain ICE agents?

There's no such thing as a "non-lethal" round.

Especially when they're aiming for your head.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The correct term is "less lethal" in fact. As in it's still lethal

No, just a better chance of being alive. Although, you might be missing an eye or something.

That's not true. You can't kill someone with one of those Airzooka air blasters. Damn it I've tried. But yeah basically everything else...

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 21 points 3 days ago (1 children)

We're trusting that the murderers are going to follow the law? Did I miss something? Is murder legal now? Because if not, I see a pretty huge hole in that logic.

"Well, it's a real shame then, that I'm the guy with the powerful friends, and you're the little punk whose only friend is some fat weasel who drives a fucking cab!"

Nothing will stop them. Certainly not words. The average icehole can't read.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Like they'll actually follow a Biden appointee.

Spoiler alert: they won't

[–] regedit@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago

I mean shit, they don't even follow rulings by tRump-appointed judges...

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 5 points 3 days ago

"Insurrection Act it is, then."

Appeal in 3.. 2..

Rules mean nothing without enforcement
