Fuck AI

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Normally, AI cannot do well(or do at all) what it haven't been trained for. This means that AI in X was literally trained to be able to do so.

[–] DacoTaco@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

I hate ai and will bash it where i can, but that is not explicitly true. Teach it what a human body looks like, and what a clothed child looks like and it can do what it did if there is no rules in its system prompt or context memory to do so

I seriously don’t understand why the entire world isn’t boycotting anything he touches. He’s a Nazi and a danger to the world

[–] rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Because he's really popular with other nazis who are also dangers to the world.

[–] Nanowith@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

Sunk cost fallacy for everyone that isn't also a Nazi, when you're heavily invested in tech stocks it seemingly makes it easier to dismiss the evil.

Yet xAI has not made an official statement regarding the Grok generations, which some experts say could be illegal — despite facing the public for some of Grok’s previous controversies, such as when it began styling itself as “MechaHitler” during a racist posting spree. Musk, meanwhile, simply joked that the whole affair was “way funnier” than the trends started by other AI chatbots.

Look it's 4chan in the flesh.

Well the Epstien island visitors love the new feature on their favourite app!

[–] biofaust@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Apple seems fine with the app on its store.

[–] Tartas1995@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 1 day ago

I want to remind everyone, what his reaction was:

He disabled the image generation! But!!! only for free users!!! He saw the CP and thought, I am fine with it if they pay me for it.

i know, adult victims are important too. But let's focus on the children.

All this spotlight on pedophilia, and these PedoCons still can't help themselves.

[–] eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 day ago

Nearly universal, except for anybody with any power.

It's almost like the people in charge are irredeemable.

[–] communist@lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Why even have a poll like someone needed to check if people have a problem with this

up next a poll on whether or not cancer is bad

[–] Jason2357@lemmy.ca 1 points 18 hours ago

Pretty important to show that nearly everyone outside the circles of power are against it, to demonstrate how evil all the people with power are, who have collectively shrugged it off.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

So all those people opposing it are going to stop using Twitter right?

Headline from Hell.

So that means western governments will start doing something about it? Lawsuits? Fines? Blocking x?

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 10 points 1 day ago

Whoa, whoa, whoa, that would be unfair.

They paid good money for that global far-right psy-op.

[–] eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 day ago

To quote Musk,

🤣 💩

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago (4 children)

There are Western governments? I thought there were corporations and sycophants. Was that you knocking? I didn't know we still had a door.

Please don't stop on children, no one want their clothes being stripped off without their knowledge and consent, digitally or physically.

[–] Virtvirt588@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Agreed, this problem isn't just the children - its everybody. Its actually problematic that this is how the situation is perceived, that only a minority is being spoken of. It is a problem of all, highlighting the severity of this situation.

The dissenters can be recognised by their fedoras, goatees and fondness for the phrase “well, actually it’s ephebophilia”

[–] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Reminder that perpetuation of child molesters looking a certain way helps child molesters who don't look that way get away with their crimes.

[–] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 8 points 1 day ago

Nahh, the dissenters are still using X.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

At this point, why would anyone want to be related to this Nazi pedophile child?

Seriously, if you buy a Tesla right now you deserve it be torched. You work for Tesla or SpaceX, and it's on you, you deserve to be ridiculed and lose your friends

At this point, of you work for this shit, do business with this shit, or buy from this shit, as far as I'm concerned you are a pedophile nazi as well

[–] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

pedophile child

"Stop calling me that, mom, my girlfriend and me are both 12!"

[–] luciferofastora@feddit.org 2 points 1 day ago

At this point, of you work for this shit

I'd shift some of the hate from the people working there to the economic situation that makes it hard to just leave a job.

I do agree though, anyone that has a choice should choose to distance themselves.

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 49 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Nearly? Donald Trump must have been among the sample group.

[–] skvlp@lemmy.wtf 21 points 2 days ago (6 children)

Not having access to Epstein island any more must have left a void.

What’s the latest on the Epstein files btw?

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What’s the latest on the Epstein files btw?

Trump has started a war with Venezuela, is threatening war with Canada and Europe, and is ordering the creation of a battleship (purportedly named the U.S.S. DAMN What is IN Those Files?!)

[–] skvlp@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 day ago

Clues point to it being both more real and much worse than pizza gate, or whatever it was called.

Yeah, but one super rich evil guy likes it the way it is, so nothing will change.

So 97% of Brits are gonna leave X, right?

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Man, when I read this, I didn't believe it. So I did a search and yup, this story is in EVERY major news site.

Funny thing though. The article said 97% oppose this. Yet, when it became possible there was an image generated every minute, I guess by the 3%.

[–] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Most likely not even the 3%, but a much smaller minority pushing the system as hard as possible.

Similar to how most successful freemium games are propped up by a tiny minority of "whales" who spend many orders of magnitude more than the vast majority of players.
