Do people actually hate Turkish people? I know they can be obnoxious in online games, but in real life they are pretty wholesome. And I think It's generally the same for all Turkic peoples, but I haven't met many.
People hate Turkish people because they hate immigrants (for no reason), and there's some Turkish immigrant community in Europe.
Who tf cares that Turkey is part of Nato?
Everybody in Europe. Turkey has the second largest army in NATO after the US. Also its geographical position makes is strategically very important.
They also have the second least reliable military in NATO.

In India it is also named after Turkey
The Arabic word for it translates to East Africa
Malaysians call it Dutch Chicken
In Cambodia its French chicken

People hate us turks for various reasons.

They visited turkey as tourists and were exploited through high prices, haggling, rude and impatient service sector workers

They met some of the brainwashed assholes that are sucking up to the current dictator

They have an immigrant community of turks in their country that don't assimilate

They are or have connections to a historical group of people with bad blood with turks (serbs, greeks, armenians) NB : I do not think that those people are bad.
