Pierre and Scheer has a lot to say about freedom of speech but get real quiet when Canadians get threatened.
They want to "take action" against "praising, rationalizing, or making light of the killing of" their people, but actively go out of their way to encourage praising, rationalizing, or making light of the killing of their opponents. There are several words and an entire psychological spectrum of study related to that sort of rationale.
Things that are violent:
Imprisoning and deporting innocent immigrants
State-sanctioned murder of black people via police
Legislating away the human rights of trans people
Forcing women to give birth against their will
The real illiberal, fundamentalist, totalitarian terrorists are on the right. I didn't shed a tear for Kirk and I wouldn't for PP or JK, either.
As and I cannot believe I am applauding what JK said in the tweet. JK is a horrible person through and through.
Nobody is a terrorist for killing Nazis. Charlie Kirk did this for thirteen years and even though he contributed to an incalculable amount of death, he was only stopped by a bullet.
Similarly, it's important to remember that despite millions of people pleading with JK, she is still single-handedly responsible for anti-trans and sexist laws in the UK. There are people who will die because she hasn't been stopped. JK's words are from a person who can and has contributed to genocide without ever getting their hands dirty. She knows that the state that tolerates fascism will always protect her.
I can't believe adults have watched the genocide in Gaza for two years and still think everyone has the privilege of decency in self-defense.

Are they going to start sanctioning individuals all over the world? They did it with the judge in the Bolsonaro case, and it caused problems in Brazil generally. I suppose if they do it to large numbers of people outside of the US, it would end up forcing countries to stop cooperating generally with the US.

Furthermore, an insurance claimant (i.e. someone actively being denied healthcare by insurance) was detained for using the words "delay, deny, depose" on the phone. This was under the previous administration. But both administrations agree with the arrest.
