I’ve seen more colorful lineups at a mayonnaise factory.

This lineup is a veritable Who's Who of 'Who's That?'
I'm going to have to remember this line; it's beautiful!
Pretty sure I Melania'd it during the first maladministration.
"I like 'em underage see, some call it statutory, but I say it's mandatory"
Can't wait for the Epstein halftime show w kid rock
We need to designate one sacrificial person to watch it to get the list of advertisers so we can boycott the hell out of them
Sounds boring as shit.
More like Turning the Channel Point USA, amirite?
I'm here all week, folks!
Kid Rock is the least surprising headliner. Everything about this is trashy, racist BS.
Remember that second hit song of his?
I don't even remember the first.
Nope
This line up will certainly attract viewer.
I accidentally went to a private Lee Brice concert once well over a decade ago.
I had no idea who he was, but it was at one of those Coyote Ugly type bars a friend served/danced at so it was free and I knew going in I was literally the only guy there.
Brice was wasted, didn't use a mic and just sat at a table so all the women had to crowd around him to hear anything.
It legitimately felt like a college party where some douche pulled out a guitar, but everyone was actually into it. Literally the worst "concert" I've ever been too, but still, the audience was me and like 50 very attractive women. So a pretty fun night at the bar except when he was trying to sing. Which he barely did.
Fuckin who
It can't be a good turning point event if Tyler Robinson isn't there
Brantley Gilbert is a real person's name? Not something taken from an old Nintendo baseball game?
Bobson Dugnutt is headlining next year
Of course kid rock is going to headline.
Can I just ask a question though, have you noticed that turning point and the daily wire and such seem to be building a media landscape akin to evangelical Christians? Like they're trying to build an alternative media landscape separate from the mainstream media landscape that reinforces their views much in the same way that evangelical Christians do.
That's what they have been doing since at least the Ronnie Raygun era unleashed this.
They started all of the hate radio networks and poured money into, started Faux "News" and poured money into that (didn't make money for 5 years and even then it probably only works because of the lack of ala carte programming on cable).
If you are starting a cult, and that's what the Republican Party/conservative movement is, you don't want anyone countering your propaganda. That's why cults encourage their members cut off family contact and so on.
That's part of the "culture war" repugs have been harping on about forever. Alternative art, alternative schools, alternative software.. Always needing to create parallel spaces as they are ostracized out of the mainstream.
Which I'd be fine with if they'd just fuck off to their alternate universe and leave the rest of us alone.
We need another New World.
Do even Republicans like kid rock? I watched a video of his a couple years ago and it was the most hilariously cringy shit I've ever seen.
Ted Nugent was busy.
I think they like the idea of kid rock, a famous musician who loves Trump and fascism as much as they do. The actual music doesn't matter. They'll give him money and support him just because he likes Trump.
I mean they don't really have a lot of choices since they don't like anything "woke" or "black" or "mexican".
For anyone who leans left or center and wants to see this...
- Don't watch it live
- Watch it later, preferably on a repost on YouTube or on a grey-market site so no money goes to these racist fucks.
Maybe some progressive YouTube channel will repost it and donate the ad revenue to progressive causes.
I don't care about any of these artists, but I imagine there are some decent people who say "I would like to see this person play but I don't want to support racism/fascism, how can I do that, watch this ethically." The easy answer is, you simply shouldn't. The best answer is, torrent it later.
When you find someone that wants to watch kid rock let me know. I'm not convinced.
Yeah, I dunno. I guess I meant hypothetically?
I liked his first album when it was new. If he was a shithead then, I didn't know about it. Bawitdaba was cool AF back in the day. And Picture with Sheryl Crow is still a great song. Too bad the guy who sings it is a fascist. Just like how Rooftops by Lostprophets was always a banger, despite the singer doing what he did.
If you can separate the art from the shithead... I dunno. I just don't want to hear Kid Rock anymore. I think the last interesting thing he did was mash up Sweet Home Alabama with Werewolves of London and somehow made both worse, but it was interesting.
Boycotting this performance is the ethical thing to do. There are some artists that I don’t listen to anymore, because of their political actions in the last few years. When someone famous I like throws their name, image, and platform behind fascism, I write them off.
Quick clarification edit: Boycotting by never watching, repost or otherwise*
I can see your point if you (or the person reading this deciding on whether to watch or not) thinks the songs are about the hate. If it's just conservative artists playing their popular songs, there's nothing unethical about watching them perform, regardless of the reason for the performance (and the timing). It's just a matter of if the "wrong" people get paid for you watching it or not. The artists are getting paid regardless.
Now, if they all wrote songs supporting fascism, the fourth reich, and all that, then yes, by all means, never watch it. I don't think that's the case though I do think some of that will be present before/after the music (considering who's putting it on).
It’s important to also acknowledge that Turning Point USA is putting this on, and will make money from it. This also gives them an opportunity to spread their messages of hate (wrapped in Christianity). Most people don’t take principled stances on anything, so it will not be surprising that the “apolitical” folks out there will watch this.
Things matter. Choices matter. Everything is political. The only reason the production exists to begin with is because people are boycotting the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
It’s not “just” anything.
I agree, and I won't be watching it — partly because my interest in Kid Rock fell off over a decade ago and I don't care about the others, but mostly because I don't agree with the message of hate.
They still want to keep going with this racist bullshit? Are they still exclaiming Bad Bunny isn't a US citizen as well? Talk about the biggest collective tantrum from a bunch of racist cunts. Get over yourselves, you're making yourselves appear worse than you seem to think the people you hate are, talk about irony.
He ain't white right? That's all the answer you need.
Hilarious. Quick honey, pull up OAN, the christo-fascist half time show is on!
It's just an ideal time for a long bowel movement.
