I always thought this was pretty wild that they just shrugged their shoulders and said too bad.

Elections Canada fucked up and it impacted the election. This shouldn't have had to go to the supreme court to fix IMO.

Going to the courts was the right move, I do think Elections Canada followed their election recount process more or less, but the lower courts rejecting the acknowledge human error as not an "irregularity" is a little bit of a judicial blunder.
