The current admin honestly deserve torture to death sentences.

I don't often recommend it, but for this group I'm particular, I definitely do. And I want coverage of it so I can can watch it when I'm in a bad mood.

It's been pretty obvious for a while that life has zero value to them (MAGAs). Immigrants, civilians, veterans, troop lives have no value. They only protect and care about pedophiles.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 9 points 3 hours ago

A DHS spokesperson insisted “the C-130 never left the search” and claimed there's no proof it was diverted away from those efforts, but two U.S. officials, a Coast Guard official and a former Coast Guard official told NBC News that the incident showed the culture clash between the agency and the only military branch Noem oversees.

The way they just lie, like it's the most natural thing in the world to them. Always implying that no one should question it. That's fascism.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 5 points 4 hours ago

If that isn't treason...

[–] Sp00kyB00k@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

Why listen to orders from this dog-killing and now person-killing empty husk of what somewhat resembles a human from the outside. Fraggin' time.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 26 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

So much for the "No Man Left Behind" principle that gets drummed into every US recruit in every branch since at least the 19th century. The Marines especially are known for it. No man left behind.

The US military ethos is built on a handful of seemingly inviolable principles, and she just went and violated perhaps the most sacred of them all. This is incredibly, unbelievably, fucked up beyond imagination.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 246 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

Wow. I don't know if everyone understands how unbelievably fucked up that is. A person overboard is usually considered an all hands on deck, high priority search and rescue operation because of how hard it is to spot the person and how finding that person a few minutes earlier can make the difference between rescuing a person and recovering a corpse. She downright sacrificed a Coast Guardsmen's life for something that could have waited. This is beyond incompetent priority management and I can guarantee that most Coast Guard members hate her guts for it now.

People always go on about how the armed forces hate Trump. If that's the case, how come they never balk at carrying out all those blatantly illegal orders?

[–] TallonMetroid@lemmy.world 17 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

Nah, back when I was Chair Force 20 years ago we were fed a constant stream of FOXNews in the common areas. I don't imagine that's changed at all, so the rank and file should probably be considered to be about the same as the boomers politically. The hope was that the officer corps would resent his draft dodging stolen valor ass, but even that would have only lasted until the Pentagon got purged.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 6 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

The air force in particular had a pretty strong evangelical bent even back then. Can't imagine it's improved any.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

Gotta put the evangelials in charge of the weapons of armageddon.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 11 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

People always go on about how the armed forces hate Trump.

They do?

My impression has always been that some of the military hates him, but it's a very small handful.

[–] partofthevoice@lemmy.zip 9 points 19 hours ago

My impression has always been that it’s a shitshow.

  • Military vertical culture is “fuck your opinion, do your job” or “failure to obey orders.” Refusing illegal orders is a theoretical training seminar that covers examples like sexual favors and cleaning out the bosses car.
  • Military horizontal culture is “I’m just here to do my job, eventually go to school” and “failure to report.”

There’s not really any room to hate Trump. I mean… go ahead, hate him… They have about the same regard for that as they would have for any conservative members hating Obama. They don’t want to hear it, unless it’s just you and your bud shooting shit on a long watch. You do your job, that’s it.

High-ranking members get disgruntled and choose to retire or whatever. That only weakens the reserve of people who aren’t just blindly following orders.

They aren’t taught to have opinions. They’re taught to stand at attention so that someone else can breathe down their neck and talk shit unrelentingly. They’re taught to breathe the farts in deep, until they start seeing the shenanigans as tough love.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 8 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

I've been out long enough to not have a sense of the current vibe. I'm just pointing out that there's a solution if they're really that pissed.

I think most of the Coast Guard will turn on the Trump Regime when the time comes. No military likes their own being abandoned to die, because that sets the tone for everyone in the rank and file.

[–] 0_o7@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 10 hours ago

Sure, Any day now…

skeleton-checking-watch.jpg

any moment now…

[–] Ferrous@lemmy.ml 20 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Why?

I dont know how you could think that given the absolute lack of anything similar from any of the other branches.

People were starting to cling on to the "the military is going to stop the Trump coup" copium all the way back at the beginning of his first term. It has yet to happen, and both he and his cronies are all the more entrenched.

[–] KelvarCherry@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 17 hours ago

and the Jan 6th insurrection hearing... and the 14th amendment section 3...

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 2 points 15 hours ago

I don't think the military will stop the Trump Regime, at least not without several years of a 2nd American Civil War.

As with ACW1, what we could see is lots of military people moving around to find like-minded people. So we will have something like 40% of a given military branch working for the good guys, another 35% for the Regime, and the rest being neutral, or doing their own thing.

I cannot even tell if this is real or not

[–] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 5 points 10 hours ago

She definitely said that right before orcing all over the place

[–] JailElonMusk@sopuli.xyz 96 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Every day the line between cartoonishly evil and cartoonishly stupid gets smaller with this administration.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 32 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Two circles overlapping to become one.

[–] redsand@infosec.pub 10 points 22 hours ago

That sound is the two black holes ringing down as they merge

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.ml 20 points 19 hours ago

“The primary mission was search-and-rescue,” the former Coast Guard official said, "and now the number one stated mission of the Coast Guard is border security, that is a cultural change that the culture hasn’t quite caught up to.”

You know goddamn well which mission was the most important one, you dumbass. "The culture" expects you to prioritize human life over performative political bullshit.

[–] WhatSaid@lem.ugh.im 25 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

She should be tossed overboard, see if anybody goes looking for her.

[–] mister_flibble@sh.itjust.works 9 points 13 hours ago

Nah, we shouldn't be throwing that much plastic into the sea.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 18 points 19 hours ago

She probably cackled with delight at the chance to ensure the death of another human

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 45 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

While I understand the hopelessness of trying to find a single person lost in the ocean. This is fucking stupid as hell and she should be thrown into the ocean and the search abandoned immediately after.

[–] _chris@lemmy.world 16 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

You will have no shortage of volunteers to toss her over the rail

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

She should be sentenced to be shot in that same quarry where she did her puppy

[–] Tehbaz@lemmy.wtf 4 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Disagree. Execution by firing squad would be an honorable death for a Nazi. Hanging or lethal injection like a common criminal is more appropriate.

What's the one where they are pulled down by heavy weights onto a giant wedge that slowly splits them open?

I vote that one

[–] inkzombie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

Next time put a warning if you're gonna show a close-up of that face

[–] howl2@lemmy.zip 6 points 19 hours ago

Lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 2 points 19 hours ago

If you told me it's a wax representation of a human, but done be a trainee rather than a professional I'd believe you.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 14 points 21 hours ago

Coast guardsmen are under DHS and may currently be unpaid for their apparently-expendable work.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 16 points 22 hours ago

Anyone working on a boat should keep in mind that this will happen to them too, and think about how their families would feel hearing news like this.

[–] LoafedBurrito@lemmy.world 4 points 18 hours ago

Can't wait to see her in federal prison or worse. A puppy killer deserves nothing in life except pain and suffering, but then they gave her control over DHS so she could murder humans instead of puppies.

[–] maturelemontree@lemmy.zip 2 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Yeah whats up with that? I mean she looks bad. Like unhealthy bad. Im sure its something to do with her blackened and tarred soul seeping through and becoming visable, but still.

[–] Duranie@leminal.space 2 points 20 hours ago

Ever seen Death Becomes Her?

Injecting shit into your face and surgeries tend to leave people lumpy after a while.

[–] FoxyFerengi@startrek.website 2 points 20 hours ago

Too much filler, it's settling weird on her face and lips. I'm assuming she keeps injecting more without dissolving the previous batch. Look up pictures of her from 2018 and you'll see how much filler she's packed into her cheeks, eye troughs, and lips.

It also looks like her makeup is extremely dry, but the way it's caked on over uneven skin does make me wonder if she has a condition like rosacea. I have rosacea and don't wear makeup because it just looks worse than my bare skin lol
