More like "by the paid stooge of some rich asshole". The rich assholes do involve themselves more with the public than they used to on account of social media, but that kind of opinion piece would be written by someone who is not themselves a rich asshole, but who beneifts directly from them.
That, or the aspiring rich arsehole.
Not even a beneficiary, just a grossly misguided individual who hasn't yet realised that will, in fact, not be them some day.
