She was the least popular candidate in 2020, but for some reason Biden chose her as his VP. Then she lost to Donald Trump in 2024, after practically being forced onto the ticket. And she's still thinking about running again?

JFC. Whoever is telling her this is a good idea, needs to be fired.

Probably the same person that told Hillary to run

DNC will fail to read the room on 2028. Lesser evil is over, time to earn votes

[–] Ironfist79@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Might as well vote for the greatest evil. At least they actually stand for something.

Mostly himself and things related to himself, but yes, he does.

Her only merit was that she’s not Trump. It’s a very good merit, but let’s hope for some stronger candidate next time, if there ever will be a next time.

Correct.

It’s a very good merit

Not anywhere near as good as it sounds, given how difficult it is for millions of eligible voters to actually vote.

No matter how evil the alternative is, you have to give people something to vote FOR in order to convince them to risk their livelihood while waiting in line in November weather for sometimes half a dozen or more hours, quite likely with children in tow or while paying for unaffordable childcare.

The DNC won't hear of it, though. They're a for-profit corporation that exists to maximize legal (and sometimes illegal) bribes coming their way, regardless of electoral outcomes.

let’s hope for some stronger candidate next time, if there ever will be a next time.

Ultimately americans need to turn over 3/4 of their sitting politicians by 2028 or else the power structure will remain unchanged.

She may not be trump in name or appearance but she's a cog in the same machine

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 2 points 36 minutes ago

Both parties have been for a long time.

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 8 points 1 hour ago

You had your shot and chose the establishment. Fuck off into the same hole Biden is in.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 7 points 1 hour ago

If she wants to win, she needs to be out there today pushing back against the regime. Instead, there's crickets. That's a "No" vote from me.

[–] Mantzy81@aussie.zone 7 points 1 hour ago

I think Kamala would be a okay President (as in, "not a fucking idiot" ), however she's still a corporate pawn, Israeli shill and centre right like most other Dems who's main selling point is "not Trump". There are few good options within the whole party who actually support social agendas and not whatever a company's lobbyists or Zionists are paying them to support.

But more crucially, she's a woman, and not white and for 50% of the voting population (i.e. the ones who actually get off the couch to go vote), their racism and misogyny is more than enough reason to not vote for her - in fact, they'd relish in not doing so as it supports their fundamental principles of being a cunt.

I mean, if she manages to win a contested primary, she'll be a better candidate.

If nothing else, maybe she and Gavin will split the Goober vote and let some fresh blood in

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 7 points 2 hours ago

I bet the super delegates push both of them until it's just those two. Then they will have a battle of the corporate shill old guards.

[–] AshMan85@lemmy.world 6 points 1 hour ago

Nope, give us someone better

Sadly, the voting idiots of he United States would just elect Donald Trump again if K.H. ran again... even if it meant digging up his dead body...because let's stop lying. It wasn't about het being "chosen" without a primary. She lisy because she was a woman and she was black. Americans will not elect s female president, probably within the next 50 years. Misogyny is alive and well, burning brightly right beside racism, in America. I say that as a white man who had seen and heard every excuse and every lie. Americans are stupid. That's the bottom line. They are ignorant and uneducated, and don't want to be educated. They enjoy their ignorance and their racism and misogyny. They will not change until the Boomers and Gen X (I'm Gen X) are dead and buried because those two generations are a millstone around the neck of this nation. Sadly, we're bringing up an apathetic pair of generations in the form of Gen Z and Gen Alpha who just don't care about anything beyond their pet causes and social media accounts. In the last 30 years, Americans have thrown our once great nation to its knees and they're guilty of raping lady liberty as surely as the Epstein rapists and murderers are guilty of the crimes they committed. I worry that ghhd country I grew up loving is going to have to burn to ash before it can be recovered...IF it can be recovered...which is justifiably questionable. Anyone saying Trump was a better choice should be forced to move to Russia...along with thd people who voted for him - or "obstained" and got him elected. This IS America's WORST GENERATION.

"A secret postmortem of Harris’s performance by the DNC found that her major issue with voters stemmed from Biden’s poor handling of Israel’s massacre in Gaza and her own refusal to break with him on it, a policy choice that fundamentally soured support from progressives and young voters."

This statement and seeing who posted it disregards the entire article. This is an attempt to undermine a solid democratic candidate to help the right win in 2028 nothing more.

[–] Cherries@lemmy.world 1 points 8 minutes ago

Is this solid candidate in the room with us right now?
