  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

“Cartel hitmen wear masks. Leftists aren’t complaining,” Lee wrote, referring to an image of masked Mexican cartel members at a gas station from earlier that day.

Cartel hitmen also aren't killing American citizens in the streets of America...

cartel hitmen arent employed or paid by the government either

That we know of. Would you honestly be surprised at this point if our tax dollars were going to the cartels, moving drugs in here just so there could be drug arrests? For some reason we decided that felons can't have guns or vote even after they've done their time, and we've decided that enslavement of convicts is perfectly legal.

enslavement of convicts

I of course am 100% against this.

But its literally in the constitution. America still has legal slavery.

Quote,

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Such a modern country

Yeah, so would it really be so surprising if big business sent lobbyists to push the government to get drugs into the country so more people could be arrested and forced to do slave labor for said big business? The lobbying would only need to me cheaper than paying the laborers. Slashing labor costs would yield record profits, and this is not news to the psychopaths who run massive companies.

I'm being hyperbolic, kinda, but I'd probably feel less threatened approaching a cartel member than an ICE agent.

Edit: If anything at least I'd know the cartel member would have way more probability of being prosecuted if they murdered me than an ICE agent would, who would have probably done so in broad daylight, on camera with dozens of witnesses.
