Let’s just put this out there. If Iranian cells want to hurt Republicans? I won’t bat an eye. Just don’t hurt non-Republicans. You two can have it out.

[–] entropiclyclaude@lemmy.wtf 19 points 11 hours ago

they’ll either allow an attack or stage one so they have a reason to skip the midterms.

[–] TwilitSky@lemmy.world 29 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

He's super nonchalant about it. This is how politicians actually feel when they know you're struggling/suffering. There is no feeling.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 18 points 13 hours ago

He knows when 9/11 happened, Americans shit their pants and threw away all their rights to government.

[–] Man_kind@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Of course he is. The people at risk aren't trump, or anyone that risks anything for trump or his family.

If Trump could press a button that would kill 10 million people, maim another 5 million, and make 50 million people go from middle class to abject poverty, in order to give him 10 billion $ and more power, he'd press that button without hesitation.

Total no brainer for him. And Americans are just letting get away with destroying democracy and destroying their freedom, and way of life, so HE can have more.

They seem upset, complain on social media, but do nothing. Not even boycotting. They just sit in their echo chambers. They dont organize. They don't protest on congress' front lawn, they hardly boycott, even after seeing it work for Kimmel.

The citizens of america are failing the world.

I hear what you are saying my friend... I(US citizen) am not happy with what is going on, but what can I really do to make a change? I vote, and other than that, I work 50-60 hours a week to try and support my family and try to teach them to be good and do the right things. I dont have the time or resources to go protest in Washington.... Im working my ass off to suport my family. The system here sucks and was built by others before my time. Do you want me to grab my guns and go battle ICE/the government single handedly and leave my kids to fend for themselves? Im just trying to get by. I havent been to a doctor in decades because I cant afford it... I send my kids instead, because that is more important to me. So you can sit on the sideline and say I am doing nothing, but Im voting and hoping for the best, but I cant battle the government corruption single handedly while I am trying to keep my kids alive and healthy. Tell me what to do. PLEASE!!!!

There are so many of you with this exact same sentiment on every comment related to this topic. Imagine what you could do if you were organised.

I don't think any of us have the answer for you, aside from casually pointing out that 2A is meant for more than the classroom, and if none of you do anything you'll be raising your kids in a fascist theocracy within the decade.

They're actively fighting to get voter registry information. Why do you think that is?

The Reichstag fire (German: Reichstagsbrand, pronounced [ˈʁaɪçstaːksˌbʁant] ⓘ) was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, home of the German parliament in Berlin, on Monday, 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany. Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch council communist, was said to be the culprit; the Nazis attributed the fire to a group of Communist agitators, used it as a pretext to claim that Communists were plotting against the German government, and induced President Paul von Hindenburg to issue the Reichstag Fire Decree suspending civil liberties and pursue a "ruthless confrontation" with the Communists.[1] This made the fire pivotal in the establishment of Nazi rule in Germany.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 16 points 14 hours ago

"Oh noooo, the Reichstag is on fire!"

[–] deltaspawn0040@lemmy.zip 22 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

"and that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make"

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 3 points 15 hours ago

Ding ding ding

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 12 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

So this is the moment then when the 2A Magats will take their guns and go for justice, right?

Right?

[–] Xenny@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Bro, they've been trying for a moment. There's been three armed assassination attempts that have been thwarted.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 9 points 14 hours ago

Yes, against those evil Democrats!

[–] Kintarian@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

You first, dick head

[–] AmbientDread@piefed.social 106 points 1 day ago (7 children)

Incoming. One Trump Sponsored false flag act of terrorism coming up.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 12 hours ago

He just needs Kash to not focus on an obvious threat and let it organically happen. Sadly, this will be in NY, not florida.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

On one hand this is unrealistic because it directly implicates Trump for starting this conflict and people are going to blame him and the administration for any kind of terrorism on US soil.

On the other hand, these are not very bright people, they are literally stupider than almost anyone typing on this website. They are only invulnerable because of money and connection.

Either way it's not necessary, Trump's base doesn't know shit about shit, they're glued to their TV's listening to FOX and if the president said Iran conspired with Antifa and the Transes and blew up the entire statue of liberty and Mount Rushmore, the base would believe it and never question it even if you kidnapped them, dragged them to the sites and threw them off.

[–] Uranus_Hz@lemmy.zip 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

And AI will “prove” that Dems and “Antifa” conspired with Iran to do it.

Spoken like a man secure in the idea that they won’t make it through to him.

[–] MartianRecon@lemmus.org 112 points 1 day ago (10 children)

False flag attacks are coming. Mark my words.

[–] Rcklsabndn@sh.itjust.works 5 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

They need some time to figure out the perfect place to be attacked so billions of dollars can go unaccounted for in the cleanup efforts.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 hours ago

They really don't though, they could do that with any disaster or for no reason at all. Hell Kristi Noem spent almost a quarter of a billion dollars on ads for herself that were paid to some company related to her.

[–] MartianRecon@lemmus.org 3 points 9 hours ago

without a doubt

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago

Probably also "Iranian election interference" and a need to federalize elections so Trump can avoid the inevitable in November.

If Iran were to destroy Mar A Lago, I think we could let it slide.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

And the Whitehouse ballroom. Not the rest, just the ballroom. Unless Trump, Miller, or Hegseth are there.

[–] sen@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 hour ago

What ballroom lmao have they even started construction yet?

[–] toiletobserver@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I unconditionally surrender all of Florida on behalf of the usa.

Trump is just trying to bring more people onto the side of supporting his illegal war on Iran by proposing an unrealistic risk of danger to the U.S.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

This sounds like an awful method of persuasion?

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

It works to frighten people. He is now using fear as a method of control.

[–] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 136 points 1 day ago (4 children)

A danger that he totally incited in the first place by being a bloodthirty moron.

I say he is preparing the people for an ‘act of terror by Iran’, meaning there is going to be a false flag incident. He can then use that to claim war powers and dismantle the last sliver of US-American democracy.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 13 hours ago

I wonder how much time we've got left til that happens

real farquaad energy here

[–] curiousaur@reddthat.com 11 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

It would be the stupidest thing they could possibly do. The war has like a 20% approval rate. If they attacked on American soil the cowboys would flood the enlistment offices.

[–] saimen@feddit.org 10 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

To me this sounds like just another reason the Trump regime could do something themself making it look like it was Iran.

You're assuming the decision-makers on any side are supremely intelligent and rational. They are not.
