Mmm, sausages and French onions...
For someone living in france, what's french oignons where you live 😋? Just french or is it some specific type?
It's a cut, not a cultivar, that's probably better known as Julienne cut. Sausage vendors often have sliced onions as one of the toppings for their sausages and it's never not delicious.
The awkward wording was to match the image.
Thanks!
So sliced finely I guess.
If you do that, finely, it makes for the best ever fried onions (salt them and be generous with the olive oil and almost burn them for a while. Like 5 min or more ).
And then you block the view of the rail attachment system with a text box and poor cropping...
(Does anyone have a better, closer angle?)

That's the same angle lol but thanks for at least trying

Jean-Cluade: "Pierre! The government is reducing our retirement benefits by a quarter of a percent point!"
Pierre: "Ces enfoirés! ... *brings out a selection of sauages * ... so are we thinking Boudin Blanc, Boudin Noir, Andouillette? What sounds good? Oh, and you will have the hors d'oeuvres, oui?"
Jean-Claude: holding a tray of crudités "Oui! Of course, oui!"
I have a vague idea in my mind of German and Polish sausages, but I have no idea what French sausages are like. How do they compare?
They are made for barbecuing, mergues & chipolatas most commonly, so usually quite good! Most people prefer one over the other so always get both!
Neither of those is French, though they are both quite popular in France.
Totally, but as you say they are quite common, I bet that's what's on the trolley- barbecue.
I'm jealous they have tram tracks to even do that with.
If they had all those sausages back in the day then Marie Antoinette would still be alive! /s
