Lemmy does have a few AI fans that go around arguing it's useful and everyone who doesn't use it for everything are in a cult.
God the "luddite" thing is so bad faith and just objectively incorrect.
This is incredibly cringe-inducing. Violence is the answer? Growing food is bad? AI is evil but not because it uses water.
I am very proud of being a Luddite.
Also agriculture is literally necessary for people to be alive ! It's literally the most important use for water, roughly on the same level as drinking it... Even using water to wash is a luxury when compared to those two 😂 forget about AI
Right. The propaganda against growing food (you know, like happens all by itself in nature and is necessary for human survival) is so dumb. If you have a problem with certain agricultural practices then name them, don't just blame "agriculture" as a whole. That's like blaming humans as a whole for what corporations do. Oh wait, that's what the same propaganda also does!
When an AI user will be fired because AI starts generating much better ideas, but faster, then you can rejoice.
