We started giving our boy botox when he was 4. It's important to start early when you have cerebral palsy.

You can’t tell, but I laughed

Do you think it'd be less popular if they hadn't come up with a fun nickname for Botulism Toxin?

[–] Tugboater203@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

For sure, it makes one stop and think if you're intentionally injection anything with "Toxin" in the name into your face

I cant believe people are so afraid of looking old. There are old people everywhere and most of them are pretty happy. Whats the big deal.

Im afraid of looking like a freak and thats what those botox people manage to accomplish. Every old woman in Hollywood looks like a freak now. Congrats.

A good example why judging people is needed.

I have a friend who gets Botox injections for her migraines, seems to help her significantly BUT it isn’t in the “beauty” locations so she just looks like she had a stroke for a couple days.

10/10 highly recommend

Botox helps against migraines??

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago

Yes, for certain cases and not injected in the face, mostly neck and shoulders. The toxin inhibits neuromuscular signals that can cause migraines in some people.

Yeah. It has more uses besides identifying judgmental people who don’t mind their own business.

The world needs more judgmental people. Many people are completely mad.

If nobody tells the idiots that what they are doing is dumb, you will have more and more idiots.

It was right about that time when people started saying "hey, we shouldnt judge" that many people become completely disgusting, so... Actually i think its good to judge some people. Its needed.

Fun fact: it's also good for migraines and depression! While it's often used in an invalidating manner, it's true that frowning too much does have at least a small effect on your mood. No frown = no sad is literally the mechanism of action as far as researchers are able to tell so far.

and depression!

Not FDA approved for depression.

According to the FDA melatonin tablets are food and bupropion doesn't work for smoking cessation as Wellbutrin, you gotta shell out for Zyban specifically.
