Trump is willing to sacrifice Alaska and Ukraine just so people aren't focused on Trump being a fucking pedophile.

Fuck no.

In a less broken society, Trump would be on trial right now for treason.

[–] canajac@lemmy.ca 9 points 14 hours ago

He's going to give Alaska back to Russia and apologize for buying it for 4 million because the then pres was a dem.

[–] loweffortname@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Okay. I've seen links to this a few times now...

Didn't we buy Alaska from Russia? (Yes we did)

This is either the weirdest case of buyer's remorse, or yet another ginned up controversy.

Hey, should France join some kind of war to ask for Louisiana ?

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

So, that means Putin has copies of the Epstein Papers and recordings to blackmail Trump with? It's ALL about the Epstein Papers.

[–] 0li0li@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

Maybe he wants Russia's help taking over Canada. You know, get them to play bad cop so Trump can play good cop offering protection, for a price.

It's a nice country you've got there; it'd be a shame if it were invaded by those Russians at the border...

What is with this article? I've read previous pravda UA articles that were good, but this one just seems like something an LLM spat out after being asked to summarize the cited Telegraph article. There is no additional context offered, everything is in this list-like/chopped up format, and the last subheading ("conclusion" I presume) seems to have been left in Ukrainian or Russian (I can't read either). At least one quote wasn't even properly attributed to anyone. My guess then is that it's just a direct copy-paste of an LLM response. I hope this is just a single "journalist" not doing their job rather than a trend at the outlet.

The art of the deal!

Lol, he's offering Russia part of Ukraine AND America now, while buying right into Russia's propaganda that Alaska should belong to Russia too?

Even though we could literally kick Russia out whenever we wanted with adequate military aid.

What a weak little bitch.

Shut up! This is what WINNING looks like! /s

[–] Kyle_The_G@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Everything makes sense if you begin all conversations assuming he's a russian asset.

Krasnov hopes to please Putin at his performance review.

Wait, he was willing to take Greenland by force for their resources, and now he's giving up America's?? Was he just planning on turning Greenland over to Putin in the first place?

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 3 points 1 day ago

Was he just planning on turning Greenland over to Putin in the first place?

Shipping/ocean-going routes, yes. He was.

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He’s really going all in on distracting from Epstein.

[–] ganksy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Make America Russia Again?

[–] poke@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

OK so... Not that its stopped him before, but can he legally do this? Is this within the powers of the presidency?

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Nope. Congress does. But we know Congress is weak, compromised, and ineffectual at this point.

[–] khannie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Pweeeeease stop the war. I'll give you stuff to stop the war.

Weakling bitch.

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If Trump could chortle Putins shrivelled ball sack any harder, he’d probably be sent back in time to the 1980’s when he was recruited as a Russian spy.

Jesus Fucking Christ Americans are weak.

[–] MangioneDontMiss@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Tell us what to do Mr alpha Man. How would you fix this.

[–] Crankley@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

It's sort of an odd position that exists right now in the anti Trump world.

I think the cavorting with Putin is definitely problematic but if I spoke about my reasons why it wouldn't likely resonate with anyone pro-trump.

However, if you point out his "beta" moves it seems to cut a bit deeper or resonate with the folks near the fence and might be more effective at moving the needle.

BUT then you have used "man-o-sphere" language to convince folks and that in and of itself is a dangerous space to occupy or push folks towards.

So then need to consider if the bully language is more of a backpedal or is it worth it to get the result folks are looking for.

It's just a whole lot of unpleasant and hasn't even hit upon the host of other troubling problems that are happening or looming.

It's bad in a way that makes me feel like we won't see any reform untill there is massive upheaval.

So not sure if trying to call out/downvoting the fellow raging against the machine is the real solution but if it works for you I'm glad.

Not ment to be a criticism of your post, just wanted to type out the thought, I don't usually post but find writing stuff out helps me cope/think through the ick.

[–] MangioneDontMiss@lemmy.ca 1 points 8 hours ago

You're talking about the bully language I used in response to the even more extreme bully language?

Ah, Pravda. Pravda is like FOX News Russia for the uninitiated.

[–] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 2 points 18 hours ago

Wrong Pravda bud. This is the Ukrainian one.
