You're not getting up an hour later, though. You're getting up at the same time as before, they're just counting it differently.

The clock says it's an hour later so you are wrong.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Who could argue with that?

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The internet can argue with anything.

No you didn't

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Thats not an argument, that's just contradiction!

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 4 points 1 month ago

No it isn't

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

A disagreement isn't necessarily an argument

I think I'd be fine with it if they did it on Monday at like 10 am instead of during the weekend.

[–] CyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Maybe when they remove an hour in spring. But also when the hour is added back?

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 2 points 1 month ago

Nah, that should still happen on the weekend.

Damn, wish I would've known this before I started a career ten years ago.

I support the attempts to delete DLT and so on because the time shift has negative psychological effects and stress on so many people.

But me personally i don't care at all. I guess i am lucky to be naturally an early bird, having a flexible job nearby, no family and so on. It does not matter if i wake up a 7 or 8.

where is that diagram that compares various methods of adapting to sunlight over the year? There was one that always had sunrise at 8 am or something and more. I can't seem to find the right one.

It looks exactly like this one but comparing other methods: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7a/Greenwich_GB_DaylightChart.png
