The only viable solution is to build a small concrete bunker with a single putting trainer inside that doubles as a toilet. Lock him inside and never let him out.

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 93 points 2 days ago

And there's the grift.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 70 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That’s not gonna put a stop to the staged assassination attempts.

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago

If you let him get what he wants after every staged assassination attempt, then he'll just keep doing it all the time. He's already been rewarded for the first one

[–] RePsyche@lemmy.world 59 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No. How about those Epstein-Trump Files?

[–] PapaSkwat@lemmy.wtf 0 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Right?! Epstein was doing stuff for a long time. And lots of pepole knew about it. I wonder why no previous admin released them either. Hmmm....

So the White House Correspondents Dinner, which is an even where the press invites the President, is supposed to be held on the White House grounds because going out in public is "too dangerous?" Do I have that right? That instead of being the press' event that the President is invited to, it will instead be a Presidential event that the press are invited to? Do I have that right, that we've literally inverted how anything functions for the sake of making this fat fucking loser happy.

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 3 points 1 day ago

Your mistake is you're using logic. MAGA folks don't do logic. Instead of "we do X because of Y so this means Z" it's simply "X. Y. Z".

Someone tried to kill Trump. Going out in public is dangerous. Trump needs a Ballroom.

That's it. Connecting the dots requires a functioning brain. For MAGA the dots just bounce around freely. Each one an independent thought.

[–] FaceDeer@fedia.io 14 points 2 days ago

Indeed! Plus, building that giant corruption-riddled eyesore will surely be cheaper than just having adequate security at the next White House Correspondents Dinner. They surely saved enough to pay for it by not having metal detectors at the hotel this time.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Trump didn't go to the dinner over multiple years purely because a lot of reporters use it to poke fun (in good fun) at the President, and occasionally actually lobby for something too. The man cannot take being made fun of, at all. Making it a Presidential event makes sure that he can exclude anybody that's not the most sycophantic.

[–] laranis@lemmy.zip 21 points 2 days ago

There it is.

[–] Karmanopoly@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If the 5000 security people at every event did their jobs, there wouldn't be any problems.

Also he manages to golf everywhere just fine

[–] Perky@fedia.io 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The security people at the event did do their jobs. Someone attempted to commit a violent act, was immediately identified as a threat, and was arrested with no deaths and one minor injury. The attacker didn't get anywhere close to his intended targets because security stopped him so quickly. If anything, this shows how completely unnecessary his stupid armored ballroom would be because the event security was 100% capable of stopping an attacker.

Facts! Funny how Lemmy overlooks all of what you posted. In between the ones saying that it didn't really happen. The extremism on here is getting to be too much. I swear if just one word was changed in most people comments, I'd think they were Republicans.

What the fuck is going on with Lemmy lately?! There is enough stupid shit to make fun of and point out about this admin, people don't need to invent shit. The security people did their jobs. And by judging the comments here lately, they did their very thankless jobs.

Toddler denied racecar bed, shits pants at kindergarten and insist this proves racecar beds are necessary

[–] patruelis@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Hahaha, good one.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Is the event were they roast the president? The very thing Trump fucking hates above anything else is people making fun of him? Why he skip it every time?

How funny the one time he attends one there is an assassination attempt. If not staged the the universe or this fucking simulation we live in is fucked up.

They had already fired the comedian for saying negative things about the administration, actually. They hired a magician, or mentalist, or something like that instead.

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I demand he stop appearing in public. Or talking at all for that matter. That would be safest for everyone.

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

Agreed. There's even a pill for that, though it's oddly bullet shaped.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So this event has gone on more than 100 years without incident and gunmen seem to follow you wherever you go. Sounds like a you problem.

[–] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 9 points 2 days ago

There should be a headline like "Journalists Endangered by Presidential Visit"

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Aaaaand that is what really happened

[–] discocactus@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

I'm always hesitant to indulge the false flag hypotheses, but this? C'mon.

[–] VeryVito@lemmy.ml 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He’s fine. The current system worked as planned. If anything, this shows how unnecessary his big beautiful ball hole is.

Besides, I’m more interested in protecting my own family than ensuring this pedophile rapist feels cozier while stoking outrage everywhere he goes:

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, once the system fails and he's assassinated, then we can talk about how to improve things. Can't rush these things.

[–] VeryVito@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago

There’s a lot more things that need improvement in the meant time.

[–] EndOfLine@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

"The world is big and scary. Everybody hates me and makes fun of me. I don't want to leave my houses. Make them come here. I don't wanna go anywhere ever again. I need a diappy change."

-- Donald Trump, maybe

[–] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 days ago

“Security scare.” Oh, for fucks sake.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 6 points 2 days ago

Poor little bitch boy scared to leave his bunker.

[–] northernlights@lemmy.today 4 points 2 days ago

Can't help but think of the bandage he was wearing on his ear lately, as if to remind us he survived an assassination attempt. Then boom.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

You gotta clean up your house before we start building new things. For all you know, there's already a perfectly useable bunker laying around here somewhere. Let's start by getting the Epstein files out of here. Just put them on the curb, someone will take them for you

[–] RonniePickering@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago
