"Système D" is an shortening of "Système débrouille", which roughly means "DIY system".
It's used to say that you had to come up with a solution to your problem yourself.

... which is ironic, since SystemD is what happens when someone comes up with a problem to fix your solution.
It seems like no project ever includes the unit file. So I have to search to write one myself. Either find whatever properties I need to set to call the start script, or someone has a whole unit file I copy. But it’s not packaged with the software distribution.
systemctl --user enable --now clicker.timer for a clicker sound every 15 minutes
systemctl start heating
Now that I think about it, I'm sure there is someone somewhere who has this setup.
