It was treason to launch an insurrection against the United States on January 1st, 2021.

It was treason to send the US to war in Iran, unauthorized by Congress, spending US taxpayer dollars, depleting US munitions stockpiles, throwing away US lives, alienating US allies, ruining US strategic defense posture, devastating US soft power, and tanking the US economy.

These are only some of the examples of treason Donny has committed. The full list would be much longer.

Trump thinks any criticism of him and his failures is treason.

he likes to frame it as treason, because he wants to kill people who are critical and oppose him.

“Truth is treason in an empire of lies.”

From Ron fucking Paul of all people.

He was quoting George Orwell, a person who would have despised him.

Trump says US is not winning war in Iran?

I'm not saying, just asking.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 32 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

If the goal of the war was to increase gas prices by about 50%, murder a bunch of random schoolchildren, and accomplish nothing else, then they're doing a real bang up job of it.

[–] IsoKiero@sopuli.xyz 7 points 8 hours ago

accomplish nothing else

Come on now, give credit where credit is due. There was also a shit ton of wealth transferred to Trump and his gang via insider trading, messing around with markets in general and a ton of other shady business. Russia (and likely Putin directly) and China also benefited from the chaos created. And also global instability increased by quite a lot, but one could argue that was only a side effect and not a direct goal.

What even are the conditions for victory?

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 14 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Death to all brown people... Oh you mean in war? No body knows.

[–] Flower@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

The goal of the war? Establishing Greater Israel. Netanyahu is really keen on the neighbor's land. Trump is just there as the muscle, barely know what's going on and just acts tough to protect his reputation with his flunkies.

Isn't there, like, a VERY specific definition of treason, right there in the Constitution? Specifically to prevent people from pointing at stuff they don't like and going "that's TREASON!"? Something about needing two witnesses or something too, I think.

The truth is treason. Lies are patriotism. War is peace. Freedom is slavery.

I thought it wasn't a war but a military intervention? But since this is coming from the biggest traitor of the US, you know..

I thought it was already over and that's why it doesn't need to get congressional approval to continue.

For Americans, for the rest of us, we can confidently say, you failed to win a war you started for no reason at all, your country has become an utter failure, no one can trust a single thing coming out of your country, from the food, to the media, to the words of the president, absolutely nothing is trusted with the american seal of approval, your tech industry is just an extension of the goverment now, so can't trust that either.

I'll give you one thing tho, you are unifying the world in mockery of your sad pathetic actions.

It is Treasonous for the President to not uphold the Constitution.

The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices. It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. It also guarantees the right of citizens to assemble peaceably and to petition their government.
