Ironically, the first place I heard about gays was church, tho?

Streisand the Streisand.

Avoid teh gays

"teh whats?!"

[–] Patrikvo@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago

It would be so fun if that was the starting point of your discovery of being gay.

[–] PodPerson@lemmy.zip 81 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Grindr pre-installed though, right?

[–] 6stringringer@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago

How long until someone sues them for false advertising once they find their husband on grindr with this?

[–] FrChazzz@lemmus.org 40 points 1 day ago

You know who didn't block sex-workers and Queer people? Jesus.

(Jesus offends the religious authorities more than a few times because of His associations, notably "prostitutes"--with a later tradition holding that the woman to whom Jesus' return from death was first revealed, Mary Magdalene, was herself a sex-worker; as for Queer followers in the Bible, Jesus makes reference to "eunuchs" and Jesus Himself seems to fit on the asexual scale)

Good. Let them stay on their own network, and stop trying to pass bullshit laws that will never work. Get them their own ISPs as well.

Problem is, they will be strongly exposed to fascist propaganda on these networks. But I suppose they are already lost. Let the rest of us move on with our lives.

If you're already wanting to be on a Christian's only bubble of ideological purity, it's too late yeah.

Why does this even exist? Just configure DNS or child block.

You think even 5% of the pop knows what DNS is?

Dual sim for the win. Just have a pre pay eSIM and fire it up when you want to have a cheeky wank. God knows anyway - so what’s the worry?

I don’t mean to sound flippant or anything , but that is an absolute understatement.

I imagine CSAM content will be exempt from this block.

It's tempting to shrug this off as not my business, but if this kind of entity becomes widespread enough, then you can get into situations where a future government, more radical than what we have today, could feasibly mandate people to use these types of networks

[–] carotte@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

even without that there are people who will be forced to use this, like kids of religious parents

Only time I remember anyone blocking nudity in the Bible was Satan inciting that in the garden.
