I still blame Hillary and DWS for not running Bernie against Trump in 2016, for all this mess.

Trump is not the disease, he is a symptom of the disease of corruption and greed that they exposed in 2016.

Hillary and DWS couldn't stand to have their corruption stopped by a decent human being, so they handed the country to the most vile human being to ever be President...to protect their own corruption. They would rather be ineffective opposition to a tyrant, than represent the People.

Bernie would have wiped the floor with Trump, if he would have been given a chance. Instead, we're here now...so that they can be there.

Trump didn't win in 2016, Hillary lost. Trump is just cashing in on the fact that America is corrupt to it's core. They sold America out.

TBH, Hillary received more votes than Trump in 2016, just not in the right places.

One thing to keep in mind is that Hilary decided to not campaign in Michigan because it wasn’t a battle ground.

IMO Bernie would have been the only one that could beat Trump. But we’ve no way of proving.

2.8+mm votes more.

The day a Republican loses the popular vote is the day we abolish the electoral college.

The EC is part of the US problems, the main issue remains with the use of FPTP in the election.

Get rid of both and institute proper elections, and not only will the GOP loose influence, you will actually have third parties with a chance of getting representation.

Money out of politics first and foremost. The rest will fall in line after.

As long as FPTP is still in place, the political landscape will keep moving to a duopoly, with a proper system, giving smaller parties a real chance you can get 6-7 different political parties in congress, that won't really be possible with FPTP.

Since EC favors smaller state populations, which tend to vote Republican, is that ever likely to have popular vote go R but EC go D? I guess if there was higher than average turnout in Texas and Flordia who go R and less than average in California who go D it could work out, but seems unlikely.

That was an implied point to my statement. You're exactly right. I guess I mean to say that if ever goes that direction, we'll see them call it cheating.

Wait until China invades Taiwan. It is starting to look very clear what will happen.

If I was China, I would do it while Trump is president. The US is the only country that could realistically help Taiwan. So just make a deal and give Trump something he wants in exchange. That could be as simple as buying a ton of Nvidia cards or just giving the US exclusive market access in China, ensuring TSMC keeps producing chips and so on.

I mean, I'm not sure gas would be that cheap, but it definitely wouldn't be $4.00 - $5.00.

We unfortunately will never know.
