Sounds great, I always thought NY had to up their game a little bit. I'm sure all those trees shed a lot of leaves in autumn too, what a nuisance

And think about the pollen! And the insects! As well as the other nasty animals living there... A data center solves all the problems! Also: free heating during winter! All the area surrounding it will be enjoying a comfortable temperature during winter! No more subzero temps in January!

[–] JetpackJackson@feddit.org 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

And you won't have to have people shovel snow, cause of the free heating! /s

Can fit an apartment complex through those loading dock doors.

I can only imagine what Central Park land is worth. Of course, a big part of its value is that it's a park.

[–] Notyou@sopuli.xyz 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well the row of apartments along the edge of it is called billionaires row, so I'm pretty sure it's high.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh geez, of course it is now. I'm old enough I knew it as Millionaires' Row.

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Actually billionaires' row is a different thing, Millionaires' row are those giant mansions and billionaires' row are those super skinny skyscrapers. Not sure if it's called that from the ground floor up or whether it starts at a certain floor though. Also not sure if they're on the same side of the park. Would be funny though, if Millionaires' row was in front of billionaires' row and it would only be the floors above the Millionaires' row roofs.

"Fuck them trees!"

Billionaires, probably.

They should also utilize all of that blue stuff with built in watercooling capabilities.

You know where would be a great spot for a data center? Martha's Vineyard.

[–] TheColonel@reddthat.com 2 points 2 months ago

If we want to expand, golf courses are a great place, too!

Thanks for ruining one of my all-time favorite progressive trance tracks.

[–] PeriodicallyPedantic@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

Let him cook: think about how it's gonna fuck the property value of all the rich people who live in the surrounding buildings.

I mean, not worth it, but I had to pause for a sec

Sounds good! Let me park my car with little 'fireworks' carried inside (or maybe at the bottom? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) and light it so we can see the BIG fireworks together? (☞゚ヮ゚)☞🎆🎇

I love the parking lot up top! That way, I can take my little bundles of joy trick or trunking! /s

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't think that would fit McKinsey's style

[–] anugeshtu@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago
