I'm still surprised that Americans took something that was already very sweet (peanut butter) and paired it with something several orders of magnitude sweeter (jam)
Yeah! Sweet things never pair well with other sweet things unless you're some obese 'murican! What's next, cake AND frosting!?
Well if you had cake and frosting regularly as breakfast I'd be similarly horrified
i don't know many who would consider PB&J a regular breakfast foods, but I'm that case do pancakes with maple syrup also horrify you? Crepes with hazelnut spread? Cinnamon rolls?
Those don't seem as sweet?
