Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

So they will call in Hillary, Bill Gates....just about anyone but Epstein's biggest pal: PEDOnald?

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 28 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Donald wouldn't think twice about lying, and this Congress would let him. If we can't flip Congress in the midterms there's no point to that farce.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago

The mod dems in congress changes little bro. It's better, but not enough.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

You know damn well he has the courts deep enough in his pocket they can smell the smegma on his rotting baby dick.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 6 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Not just him, they don't call anyone from the FBI "prominent names" list (of which he is #1).

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social -3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

They should subpoena Noam Chomsky, to shame him and make him pay for his hypocrisy.

He ~~dead~~ stroked out

username checks

edit: not dead

[–] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Noam Chomsky is still alive.

Guess all is forgiven then. Actually maybe that means he can finally run for president

[–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

I think the point is more that he's not physically in a good enough state to give lengthy testimony.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 3 points 2 weeks ago

He dead

Somebody should tell him that.

[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 37 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Donald Trump actually raped kids. Make him testify.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago

They can't make him testify. I wish I could complete my thought here but legally I can't.

[–] bigbangdangler@reddthat.com 19 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Of course, because right-wing conspiracy theorists are all in over Bill Gates, and they think he's controlling the world through a shadow cabal.

Any other high-profile people in the Epstein files that might be a better choice? Sitting Presidents, perhaps? Or even sleeping ones?

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago

You excuse a monster because they are attacked by other monsters. What does that make you? Not very fucking sharp.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

Bill gates is of the ruling class, regardless of how the dumbass rw reactionaries describe him. He's a piece of fucking shit, a child raping one.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I mean, they've killed more computing innovation than all other companies combined, so. That’s not nothing.

[–] bigbangdangler@reddthat.com 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh I'm not suggesting Gates is a good person. He just shouldn't be testifying before certain other folks have.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Gotcha. Yeah I’m sure he’s thinking he’ll get out in front of it. Somehow.

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If Bill was truly involved with all of this, I hope that as a last ditch effort, he drags everyone down with him. To have him called in front of Congress for him to just chirp off names and have it backfire on the GOP would be awesome.

[–] DarkSirrush@piefed.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

I hope all he does is talk about all the people he saw on that island, in detail.

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 13 points 2 weeks ago

Everyone but Donald.
