After moving to throw out the "entire" case, arguing that Trump couldn't establish jurisdiction and failed to state a claim, the BBC defendants anticipated that extensive Jan. 6-related discovery would show Trump can't "prove that he did not foment or incite the January 6 Capitol riot."

"[H]e cannot now prevent Defendants from seeking records that would shed light on his true knowledge, intent, and state of mind in delivering his speech at the Ellipse," the defendants argued.

This is exactly why the pedophile doesn't sue anyone for defamation for calling him a FUCKING PEDOPHILE!

Because he's a fucking pedophile and discovery will attest to it, no doubt!

Donald Trump is a pedophile who raped and/or rapes children. Also stupid.

I wish somebody with a little more teeth would say it into the camera though. Like, imagine if a senator just fucking said that, "Donald Trump is a pedophile", on Meet the Press? But they might have to quit suckling the ~~year~~ teat of corporate donors if they did something like that. I'm quite looking forward to Platner hopefully being a frequent disturbance in the stupid show of decorum they all pretend to have.

Did you get autocorrected from teat to year? (It tried to make it test for me, it really doesn't like ~~tear~~ goddammit TEAT!)

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 7 points 21 hours ago

Sure fuckin did, good job parsing that.

Although I suppose "suckling" provides a little context huh?

I read something years ago (probably pre-apprentice) about how Trump loved to bring lawsuits against people because the opposition would just go away due to the cost of even arguing them.

Now it seems that he's been picking fights with people that will see these things through and he doesn't like it.

It's almost like he's a baby of a bully. Who talks tough but then cries as soon as it doesn't go his way......

That is pretty much every bully. None of them are actually tough; they only target those they think won't fight back.

[–] MagnificentSteiner@lemmy.zip 3 points 14 hours ago

Yep, all bullies are cowards. Never forget.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 7 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

And when someone does fight back they go crying to some form of authority

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

Or the person fighting back gets punished instead of the bully.

[–] Flower@sh.itjust.works 3 points 19 hours ago

Or how the whole Iran war is going. He's still trying to bully them out of reflex and gets slapped in the face every time.

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

Except CBS, which bribed him with $16m

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 49 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump'll drop the lawsuit like a hot potato.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 23 hours ago

I mean, the Jan 6 committee was pretty specific already. We know all that.
