Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yeah cause when I leak sensitive data, I use my work devices....

Idiots

who in the government leaked information about the security deficiencies of a Qatari-gifted airplane meant to be used as Air Force One

...Is that a leak? You don't exactly need to be an OpSec professional to see what a stupid fucking idea that is.

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 11 points 2 hours ago

I mean, yeah, obviously a plane made by a foreign country is not going to have all the security and defensive capabilities of one made in the US, because we're not about to give all that trade secret/top secret information to a foreign country to put that stuff on the plane.

I mean, based on publicly available criteria and descriptions... it probably is.

Its one thing for you or I to say "That plane probably has a deficiency in its countermeasures" because we have no inside information and no way to really have any. And no reputable news outlet would run that story.

But for somebody who works in the government who WOULD be privvy to that information to say it? It holds a lot more weight and provides a vulnerability that could lead to the death of the president (which, for the purposes of all the fbi agents reading this: would be bad).

Its obviously a temper tantrum by said potus because he can't show off the expensive gift his new beau gave him. And there are some very serious questions about how anyone signed off on him flying in it at all (for MANY reasons...). But... this kinda IS a pretty serious leak.

Its similar to how you or I can talk about how John Hinckley Jr was told to bust a cap in reagan's ass by his robot dog and it isn't an issue. But if George HW Bush started talking about how his dinner guest's brother was being manipulated by a robot dog?

Organizations with bad leaders leak because no one believes in doing the bad things that the bad leaders want.

And this organization is leaking like sieve.

Since the Donvict's incompetence in picking leaders has gone as expected we ought to expect the leaking to continue. They'll put a hand over one of the many many pinpricks and declare victorious mission accomplished. Another reason for Trumpepstein to be jealous of 'Obamna.'

I hear putting a clothespin on the tip can help with leaks

They lack the extra length to fold over a few times though.

LoL, good luck. When you piss off everyone, then everyone is gonna be wanting to piss on you. Metaphorically speaking, of course. I'm not kink shaming.
