In every sense of the word "depression".

[–] Naho_Zako@piefed.zip 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hey, we didn't start the fire. Well, at least this fire anyway. That's Canada's. /jk

But it still is extremely depressing...

It was always burning, since the world’s been turning

Perfect time for the diy sourdough meme to make a comeback.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world 32 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Careful, it'll grow out of control.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Mother told me there'd be days like these.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't ake sourdough starters.

I make sourdough finishers.

[–] unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz -4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Once made my own starter from scratch, on top of the fridge in some beautiful tropic place, excellent humidity, I fucking nailed it, and in doing this I pissed off the lady and the other lady and only wound up a garbage bag of headache weed

Jesse and I would make excellent chili powder bread

[–] RidderSport@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

My girlfriend has been completely taken by the sourdough sect

[–] SnailMagnitude@mander.xyz 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The problem is we have too much regulation. You wouldn't even notice the glass or poop if you weren't so low T and soft.

[–] FabledAepitaph@lemmy.world 39 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Can we just send the unregulated glass bread to the rural areas where they voted for it?

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No joke, those people are probably blaming this on immigrants or trans people somehow.

[–] baggachipz@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 week ago

I’m sure Fox is on the case

[–] orca@orcas.enjoying.yachts 22 points 1 week ago

And all of it draws a straight line back to billionaires.

[–] iocase@lemmy.zip 20 points 1 week ago

Really makes you wish for a modern day code of Hammurabi where shareholders would be force fed glass contaminated bread rolls until they die starting from largest ownership share to smallest.

[–] trainsrkool@lemmy.ml 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

bread, gone circus, gone

time for a revolution ✊

[–] comador@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Better move to Russia where you can take it in the ass more often there Comrade.

[–] pulsewidth@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

"I hate regulation! Take us back to the good old days when people and businesses were more free so that we can prosper!"

Ok, done, you're there.. it's the 1940s again. Enjoying it?

Only thing that comes to mind is e-scooters which can be classed as 'kids toys' yet there have been a lot of deaths and serious injuries on them due to unregulated speeds and training.

You're right though, there hasn't been a good "wtf this children's toy/game is deliriously dangerous" since the 70s.

[–] Quexotic@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

The Onewheel scooters maybe? Or the 3wheel off-road things made by Honda that just became legal again...

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I mean, people are starting to look at social media a little crossways.

I know this is completely overthinking your comment, but I guess interesting to share.

The thing is, that in Europe a lot of people that vote right wing think they are part of the majority. However, the longer nazi germany existed, the more specific the definitions of acceptable people were. The "majority" was fragmented more and more. Even Himmler increasingly defined himself out the "master race" over time. Which is pretty ironic.

Chronical condition? Not worthy. Alcoholic? Not worthy. Intellectual? Not worthy. Questioning the system? Not worthy. Not "producing" soldiers? Not worthy.

What I'm saying is that a lot of people who think facism would benefit them, would absolutely suffer.

Especially the alcoholic fact is important to remeber to hand out to many who vote for facism in Germany nowadays. Look up how they handled that.
