Shareable links are not automatically indexed by search engines. That can only happen if people share them on another place that is indexable. Anthropic should have put more guard rails in place but this was definitely people sharing links
Makes sense. However, I have no idea why you would share an AI chat on a public space...
idr how share works, if you continue a conversation isnt it on your account, like the original conversation starter isn't getting xharged, anyone sharing it anywhere publically indexed likely isnt sharing sensitive information so I don't really see the issue
People share sensitive information all the time in places and ways they shouldn't - they think noone is looking, noone is listening, noone is recording - the problem is: when it goes on the web, it's recorded, replayable, visible, for all to see.
